GAINESVILLE, FL — October 30, 2025 — CareerSource North Central Florida (CSNCFL) is advising residents across its service area that November 2025 Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits may be delayed as a result of the ongoing federal government shutdown.
SNAP is administered by the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) and funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), a federal agency impacted by the shutdown. If federal funding is not restored, SNAP benefits for November will not be distributed until the government resumes operations.
What This Means
While eligible individuals may receive notices confirming benefit amounts, no benefits will be loaded to EBT cards during the funding lapse. The Florida Department of Children and Families and CareerSource North Central Florida are monitoring the situation and will notify recipients once benefits can be issued. Updates will be posted on both the DCF and CSNCFL websites.
Guidance for Households
