GAINESVILLE, FL — August 29, 2025 — CareerSource North Central Florida (CSNCFL) will join regional workforce leaders for the “Build Your Workforce Florida” Employer and Partner Showcase, hosted by the Florida Foundation for Correctional Excellence (FFCE) and the Florida Department of Corrections (FDC). The event will take place Wednesday, September 17, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Lawtey Correctional Institution, 22298 NE County Rd 200B, Lawtey, FL 32058.
This unique event invites attendees to explore Florida’s in-facility career training programs that prepare justice-involved individuals for successful reentry into high-demand careers. Participants will tour live classrooms, meet job-ready individuals, and learn how state agencies are strengthening pipelines from incarceration to employment.
Lawtey Correctional Institution’s featured programs include HVAC, plumbing, computer drafting, food and warehouse safety, work readiness, faith- and character-based rehabilitation, and a bachelor’s degree program.
