CareerSource North Central Florida (CSNCFL) today announced that despite the ongoing federal government shutdown, local workforce services and programs will remain fully operational.
Guidance from the U.S. Department of Labor confirms that American Job Centers (AJCs) across the country, including those in North Central Florida, will continue normal operations within previously awarded resources. Grant funding for Program Year 2025 (July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026) has already been issued, ensuring stability for Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Title I Adult and Dislocated Worker programs.
Additionally, Florida Commerce has assured CSNCFL that state staff in local offices will not be affected by the shutdown. Only in the event of a prolonged shutdown—lasting more than 90 days—would state staffing potentially be impacted.
“Our communities can be confident that our services remain available and uninterrupted,” said Phyllis Marty, CEO of CareerSource North Central Florida. “Our team and our partners at Florida Commerce continue to provide workforce support, job placement, and resources without disruption.”
Residents seeking employment assistance, training opportunities, or career guidance are encouraged to visit their local Job Center or access resources online at www.careersourcencfl.com
For additional updates, CareerSource North Central Florida will continue to monitor federal developments and share timely information with the public.
