Hiring Fair Connects Florida Veterans with Career Opportunities

Gainesville, Fla. – CareerSource North Central Florida is proud to announce Paychecks for Patriots, a special hiring fair in November dedicated to employing veterans. The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, the Florida National Guard and the Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs are partnering with CareerSource Florida regions to connect veterans with career opportunities to continue the mission to be the most veteran-friendly state in the nation.

Veterans and their families bring dedication, a special set of skills, and diversity to Florida’s workforce. CareerSource North Central Florida is excited to serve those who have served our country. Through Paychecks for Patriots, companies will be connected with talented, well-trained veterans looking to join their teams.

In the past six years, more than 5,700 veteran candidates and military family members who participated across the state have gained employment during the Paychecks for Patriot events.

This year, the CareerSource North Central Florida event will be hosted on Tuesday, November 12 from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the Gainesville Career Center located at 10 NW 6th St.

CareerSource North Central Florida aims to match veterans with employers who value the knowledge, skills, and attributes attained during military service. Participants must register with EmployFlorida to attend.
