Ribbon Cutting will take place tomorrow, February 26 at career center, 9:00 – 10:00 a.m.
CareerSource North Central Florida makes its mark tomorrow, February 26 at 9:00 a.m. at the Gainesville career center, 4800 SW 13th Street. Join CareerSource NCFL, formerly FloridaWorks, for a ribbon cutting to celebrate and formally introduce the new brand to the Gainesville community. On February 10, FloridaWorks launched its new brand CareerSource North Central Florida, joining 24 other workforce regions in the CareerSource Florida network, a statewide network of workforce professionals. Florida is the first state to unify its workforce system brand among all of its workforce boards — state and local — and career centers.
Elected officials, members of the business community and the general public are invited to attend this ribbon cutting and open house. Attendees will hear from CareerSource NCFL Executive Director Kim Tesch-Vaught, board chair Tommy McIntosh and Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce Vice President Deborah Bowie.
As the regional workforce board for Alachua and Bradford counties, CareerSource NCFL provides services to employers and job seekers. Employer services range from job matching, applicant screening and recruitment events to training services and assessments. Job seeker services include job matching, employability workshops, training, access to the career center resource room and more.
