Investing in Your Workforce

A group of Startup Quest® participants meet. Startup Quest® is one of a variety of entrepreneurship training programs – making employees better at their job – available through CareerSource NCFL.

We know your team is your future, and re-training and turnover are expensive. According to one study*, turnover for a low-wage worker can cost as much as $25,000 to an employer. That’s where we come in.

At CareerSource North Central Florida, we train individuals who may lack skills or experience for a job, but would otherwise be an excellent candidate. Through grants and tax credits, we can directly off-set training costs to enhance the skills of your current employees. The result is lower overhead, higher efficiency, and less expensive turnover for your company.

How do we do it?

Incumbent Worker Training

Incumbent Worker Training provides reimbursement grants to businesses that provide skills upgrade training to currently employed full-time workers. Training may include industry or business specific skills, technical and computer skills, and “soft-skills” such as leadership, teamwork, and management skills.
