“Spirit of Collaboration” is a series of articles that highlight successful collaborative efforts between CareerSource North Central Florida and the business community.

CareerSource North Central Florida and Santa Fe College Career Resource Center are connecting soon-to-be graduates with various training and employment resources.

Santa Fe College is hosting “Grad Day” for its students on Tuesday, April 8, from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Santa Fe College, 3000 NW 83 Street, in Room S2930. “Grad Day” is a resource-coordinated program that provides students with information about graduation and continuing education opportunities with Santa Fe College. CareerSource NCFL will provide resources to guide students in job searches after college and register them in, the state of Florida’s online job exchange for employers and job seekers.

Last year, Governor Rick Scott signed into legislation the Career and Professional Education Act of 2013. “This legislation takes important steps to see that Florida’s university system is focused on helping students obtain jobs,” said Scott.

“Grad Day” is one of many upcoming, concerted efforts to better connect our future’s workforce with job opportunities.
