As CareerSource North Central Florida’s programmatic year comes to an end June 30, we welcome new board officers and Alachua County and Bradford County members-at-large for the new programmatic year July 1, 2014 – June 30, 2015. Thomas McIntosh, Berkshire Hathaway Trend Realty owner, is completing his first year as Board Chair and has been elected to serve a second year.
“I’m very proud of the work CareerSource North Central Florida has done this past year, and I’m even more excited about what the work we’re set to do this upcoming year,” McIntosh said. “From cultivating entrepreneurship at all levels including family businesses, to expanding our scope federally, to focusing on the long term unemployed with more work experience and apprenticeships, I believe we’re set to continue to build Alachua and Bradford Counties as a model for workforce innovation.”
Board officers and members-at-large were announced at the CareerSource NCFL full board meeting on June 2 held at the Santa Fe College Center for Innovation and Economic Development, 530 W University Ave. Board members are selected by a nominating committee that submits recommendations to the full board for a vote.
