CareerSource NCFL to Host Two-Day Recruitment Event with Butler Plaza North Retailer Marshalls to Fill 80+ Positions

Gainesville, Fla. (July 18, 2016) Marshalls will host a recruitment event with CareerSource North Central Florida (NCFL) to fill over 80 positions at its new Butler Plaza North location. The recruitment event will be held Tuesday, July 19 and Wednesday, July 20 from 9am to 7pm at the CareerSource NCFL Gainesville career center at 10 NW Sixth Street.

Positions are listed online in the Employ Florida Marketplace (www.employflorida.com). The positions and job order numbers are:

  • Associates: Job # 10259828 (80 openings)
  • Administrative Coordinator: Job #10259842 (1 opening)
  • Backroom Coordinator: Job #10259849 (1 opening)
  • Merchandise Coordinators: Job#10259834 (2 openings)
  • Customer Experience Coordinators: Job #10259856 (2 openings)

Those interested in positions with the retailer can arrive anytime during the recruitment events Tuesday and Wednesday. Job seekers are required to register online with the Employ Florida Marketplace prior to interviewing. Job seekers are encouraged to register prior to attending the recruitment event. For those without access to the internet, computers will be available in the Gainesville career center resource room or job seekers can register on mobile devices by downloading the Employ Florida Marketplace app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Job seekers who are not registered in the Employ Florida Marketplace will not be able to participate in the recruitment event.

To prepare for interviews, CareerSource NCFL staff recommend job seekers bring a current resume and materials to complete a written application to complete hiring paperwork in the event they are offered a position. CareerSource NCFL staff expect the employer will make offers at the event.

“We anticipate the employer will extend job offers over the course of the two-day recruitment event,” said JoAnna McHugh, Project Director for CareerSource NCFL. “We recommend job seekers attending the Marshalls recruitment event bring a pen and reference information for filling out an application, dress for success during the interviews, and bring personal documentation, such as a driver’s license and social security card.”

CareerSource NCFL is the local workforce development board for Alachua and Bradford counties. The board coordinates and hosts hiring events, such as job fairs and recruitment events, at no cost to local employers or job seekers. The events range from one-on-one interviews where CareerSource NCFL staffing specialists work with job seekers to match their skills to an employer’s needs to full scale hiring fairs and recruitment events where the CareerSource NCFL business services team recruits businesses with open positions to meet with talent who are ideal candidates.
